Shropshire military museum to reopen on Monday

A museum chronicling Shropshire's military connections will be open again from Monday as coronavirus lockdown rules are eased.

The museum is based at Shrewsbury Castle

The Soldiers of Shropshire Museum, based at Shrewsbury Castle will reopen on Monday, May 17, at 10.30am.

It will then be open from 10.30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday (but closed on Thursdays) and then from 10.30am to 4pm on Sundays.

A statement from organisers said: "No need to book, just turn up on the day (please be prepared to queue if we are busy).

"See you very soon!"

In line with the next step on the Government's coronavirus road map, indoor attractions will be allowed to welcome visitors again from Monday while social distancing and hygiene rules remain in place.
