The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, located in Craven Arms, usually attracts visitors far and wide to its historic museum and centre.

However, like many other of the county's tourist attractions, it has had to close after the new tier announcement this week.

More Covid-19 coverage:

The car park and meadows will be open for local Craven Arms people to enjoy responsibly, for a socially distanced walk.

A spokesperson from the centre said: "As you may have heard already, Shropshire has been placed into tier-3 Covid restrictions. This means that as from today, the Discovery Centre will have to close until the restrictions are eased. We are so very sad to be closing our doors for the third time, but this is the only way this awful virus can be conquered.

"Our car park and meadows remain open and we ask that if you live locally, you enjoy them responsibly. We would like to send out our best wishes to everyone who has been affected by the pandemic. The vaccine brings hope of an end to this, but until then please stay safe and stick to the rules."
