A new bouncy castle visitor attraction is opening in Telford bringing 10 new jobs.

Inflata Nation is planning to open a huge new fun park in Telford

The huge Inflata Nation inflatable theme park will be the first of its kind in the region, boasting slides, ball pits, climbing walls, gladiator podiums, obstacle races and balance challenges.

It will open its doors near Primark at Telford Shopping Centre, in August.

Inflata Nation founder Matt Ball says the arena will have a host of features which will be unique to the Telford site, including bumper cars.

“We’re opening a number of new Inflata Nation sites this year, and we’re absolutely delighted to be arriving in Telford this summer," said Mr Ball.

“We’ve found a great location, close to Primark at Telford Centre, which is a fantastic and easily-accessible venue.

“And we’re pulling out all the stops to make Telford Inflata Nation different.

“Firstly, it’s going to big a big park – bigger than the centre in Birmingham and also bigger than a new site we’re opening in West Bromwich.

“It’ll cover some 15,000 square feet of wall-to-wall inflatables. Telford will also feature inflatable bumper cars – electric buggies in their own unique ‘demolition’ arena.”

“This is brand new for us a company, as no other sites have these brilliant inflatable vehicles."

Recruitment drive

There is also a dedicated under-four’s area with a slide and ball pool.

The arena will employ 10 full and part time staff and a recruitment drive will be launched soon. It will also feature a cafe with WiFi.

It is the eighth park to be set up by the Ball family in less than 18 months. The first opened in Manchester in October 2017.

Glynn Morrow, centre manager at Telford Centre said: “It’s great to have Inflata Nation join us, offering a brand new leisure experience to Telford Centre customers and the wider Shropshire area.

“This is part of the centre’s £55m redevelopment expansion programme which also includes the Fashion Quarter redevelopment for brands including Next, New Look, H&M and River Island.”

Inflata Nation is due to open another park in West Bromwich next month. Sites are also in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and Newcastle.

The firm's Michelle Ball added: “We love to see people of all ages having great fun and enjoying themselves in our centres, and we get tremendous satisfaction opening in new locations.”

“We are strongly represented in the north of England and in Scotland, and now we’re expanding rapidly in the Midlands.

“Our centres are based on the theme of extreme bounce fun but each is slightly different in design, showing that Inflata Nation is constantly looking to evolve and entertain in new ways.

“We want to appeal to everyone.”
