Working alongside independent chocolatier Prudence Straite of Food is Art, the NEC-based attraction has created a limited range of the most eggs-treme Easter eggs, made using some of the most adventurous ingredients.

Handmade with Belgian milk chocolate, the eggs-treme Easter eggs are infused and encrusted with edible insects including freeze-dried crickets, Buffalo worms and mealworms.

And guests who book to attend The Bear Grylls Adventure between April 19 and 22 will get the chance to take part in the UK’s most extreme Easter Egg Hunt to bag themselves one.

Easter eggs will be hidden across the attraction, including Europe’s highest High Ropes, challenging those taking part to not only conquer their fears, but locate the eggs too.

Each egg will contain a secret code and the first 50 participants to crack the code will win an exclusive chocolate 'Easteurgh Egg'.

One single Easter egg in the range has been infused with the DNA of Bear Grylls himself, taken from a mouth swab and incorporated into the chocolate blend in a lab.

Commenting on the extreme Easter Egg Hunt, Bear Grylls said: “The Bear Grylls Adventure experience is all about escaping the ordinary to achieve something epic and sometimes putting your survival skills to the test involves eating what’s out of the ordinary too.

"I hope that those who complete the Easter Egg Hunt and crack the code feel empowered and enjoy their tasty treat.”
