The White Lion pub hosted a Peaky Blinders new year's eve party with flat caps, waistcoats and flapper dresses galore, and two fitting drinks on offer.

Drinkers got to try the Peaky Blinder pale ale and rum from Sadler's Ales of the Black Country.

It was the latest event based on the popular BBC series, which has captured imaginations across the West Midlands including those of Sam and Bob Hayes, proprietors at the White Lion.

The pub's assistant manager Nick Lavender explained: "Me, Sam and Bob were sitting down trying to come up with an idea for a new year's eve event.

"We decided to have some kind of dress up evening, and we came up with the Peaky Blinders because it is so popular at the moment.

"It is fairly simple to dress up for so hopefully everyone who wants to can.

"We thought it was a nice novel way to see in the new year."

Peaky Blinders is set in Birmingham in the years after the First World War, and follows a crime family's exploits.

Other Bridgnorth businesses have put on similar Peaky Blinders events throughout 2018, including Violet's Tea Room and Charlie's at the Old Mill Tea Room.
