National Pet Show returning to Birmingham

Now in its fifth year, the National Pet Show is returning to Birmingham.

Each day Supervet star Noel Fitzpatrick, Autumnwatch TV presenter Michaela Strachan, and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Lucy Heath and little furry superstar Trip Hazard will enthral visitors with live shows throughout the two-day event.

There is a focus at this year's event on the rehoming of pets from rescue charities the show’s Animal Rescue Barn aims to ‘matchmake’ as many animals and new owners as possible during the weekend.

Entertainment will also include shows in the Main Activity Ring, and the interactive Temptation Alley activity where dogs have to run the gauntlet of toys and treats.

Specially zoned ‘villages’ feature at the event, including a dog village, cat village, small furries village, and an animal village featuring farm animals and exotic pets.

The Marketplace will include a variety of different stalls where pet lovers can buy items for their pets, from gourmet grub to clever costumes.

There will also be a specialised kids zone will creature meet and greets, talks, story telling, book signing, face painting, crafts, and more.

The National Pet Show will take place on November 3 and 4.
