There were queues when the Little Dessert Shop opened in Wolverhampton

There has been much anticipation for the opening of the shop at Hazeldine House in Telford’s Central Square. After some setbacks the shop is set to open later this week, according to the area manager.

But an official date is still yet to be confirmed. He said there have been some issues with building regulations which have led to delays in its official opening

But Roman Aslamzada says they are excited to finally be opening to the public.

The Facebook page for the shop has been busy with customers waiting to know when the shop is set to open – and now the wait is nearly over.

Mr Aslamzada, area manager, said: “The newest branch will be opening at Telford Town Centre in the next few days, it’s very exciting.

“It will bring a lot of people to the town centre and it’s different to anything else in the area.”

The shop already has a social media following from the success of the other stores with many people eager to have the franchise on their doorstep.

There are already a number of Little Dessert Shops across the West Midlands which have seen huge success.

The first opened about two years ago in Queen Street, Wolverhampton, saw queues around the block of people wanting to sample its treats.

There are now branches at Merry Hill, Bloxwich, Stafford, Wednesfield, Stoke Hanley and West Bromwich.
