Kasier Chiefs will top the bill

The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod will conclude on July 8 with its annual Llanfest event.

Organisers have already announced the artists who will top the bill, with Toploader and The Hoosers being joined by headliners Kasier Chiefs on the main stage.

This year will also see festival goers able to enjoy new and emerging bands on three different outdoor stages packed with rock, pop and indie acts.

Liverpool's Cavern Club will host its first ever pop up stage at Llanfest, with performances from their world class resident musicians covering countless artists who have played in the club over the years.

Event chairman Dr Rhys Davies said organisers are always trying to introduce new audiences and the line-ups on the outdoor stages will be made up of acts from around the region.

He said: "This year we’re yet again introducing new audiences to contemporary genres of music, perfectly combining the festival’s culture and heritage with ground-breaking modern talent to create the ultimate finale. We look forward to continuing to showcase a wider musical offering to expand upon our current audience.

“We’re delighted to announce such a show-stopping line-up for Llanfest’s outdoor stages.

"We are a truly global festival and it is wonderful to offer local talent the opportunity to perform on our worldwide stage. Most artists are based in Wales or the surrounding areas of Staffordshire, Merseyside and Cheshire and that is testament to the musical talent on our doorstep.

“It brings us so much pride to be able to bring this calibre of local talent together with world-class music legends to mark the end of a phenomenal week of extraordinary events."

Solo artist Jack Found will be taking to one of the stages, along with four piece alternative rock band Billy Bibby and The Wry Smiles from North Wales and Chester.

Staffordshire band Camens will perform, along with Wrexham based Destination, solo artist Lucy Mayhew, folk singer Ben Roberts and Wrexham singer songwriter Luke Gallagher.
