It is still a catchy number today and is sure to be one of the highlight's of the show when Eastbourne band Toploader hit the stage at this year's Llanfest, which will bring the curtain down on another Llangollen Eisteddfod.

It won't be the first time one of the band members will be heading to the area.

Frontman Joe Washburn recalled in the past mispronouncing place names on trips through the area, and meeting up with a friend in Oswestry to write new tunes.

He said: "I used to go to Oswestry to see a friend and do a bit of writing so I've been to the area before.

"I can also remember going to Llangollen and asking people for directions and mispronouncing the place names.

"We're looking forward to it, it is going to be a great gig and it is great to be on the bill alongside the Kasier Chiefs."

They have toured in the past with the likes of Paul Weller and Coldplay, and were the last British band to play at the old Wembley stadium.

However in July they will join the Kasier Chiefs to close the Eisteddfod on July 8.

It will be one of 40 odd festivals they will be playing this year.

They've already began their festival season at an event in Brighton recently, and will be looking to possibly go into the studio again soon.

2017 was the last record they made, and there have been significant gaps between their records.

However Joe insists that won't be the case this time.

He said: "I don't think it will be as long this time. Other times we have just been enjoying touring and gigging really.

"We've got around 40 odd lined up, Isle of Wight probably being one of the top one really."
