Theatre to host Thinking Drinkers
Two experts in fine drinks will show Salopians how alcohol has shaped the world we live in when their light-hearted stage show comes to the county.
The Thinking Drinkers, made up of award-winning beer writer Ben McFarland and cocktail and spirit expert Tom Sandham, will be bringing their new show Pub Crawl to Shrewsbury next year.
The pair, who have done seven sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, will be coming to the Theatre Severn's Walker Theatre on March 15 next year.
Ben said drinking establishments are at the centre of most things which have shaped our civilisation.
"Whether its Neolithic Man crouching down around a fire with a bowl of fermented grain, Greek philosophers gathering together to unearth the essence of our existence through the prism of a wine cup or the Founding Fathers creating America, drinking establishments have been the keystone of global culture since civilisation began," he said.
