Georgina Wright has just been installed alongside other artists as the recent potter at the tourist attraction on the outskirts of Oswestry.

Creating various items, Georgina's unit at Aston was up and running on Monday, and she is offering people the chance to come and learn the craft and get involved in the world of pottery.

She said: "I am completely passionate about spreading creativity and teaching to all ages and offering a chance to participate in an age old skill that is not readily available to everyone through my workshops."

The potter and ceramics teacher began her career in university and earned a masters degree in art practice at Glyndwr in Wrexham.

She teaches at the university, North Shropshire College, and Shrewsbury College, alongside other workshops across the region and Powys.

She says she is passionate about "encouraging creativity to all ages through the medium of clay."

Alongside other artists at the centre, she is offering two hour workshops, as well as half and full day sessions, and up to six week courses can be booked for people to get the hang of the craft.

She is also open to team building group sessions and children's parties.
