Ahead of the traditional commemoration and re-enactment event which will go ahead on May 26 and 27, a fundraising 1940s themed dance will be held on January 27.

The revellers will look the part, dressed time-appropriately and travelling in vintage cars.

The festivities will begin at 7.30pm at the Community Hub at RAF Cosford, and live music will entertain the sold-out crowd.

This month's dance will raise funds for the main event in May, which in turn will help the charity Pilgrim Bandits to support wounded veterans.
