The choir, which raises funds for the Shropshire hospice, has joined forces with other charity choirs and Pop Idol winner, Michelle McManus, to release Paul McCartney's We all Stand Together.

Already the song has reached number 8 in the Amazon charity with the Official Charts even shortlisting the song as one of the contenders for the top spot alongside Wham's Last Christmas and Michael Ball and Alfie Boe's Bring me Sunshine.

Money from the sale of the single will be split equally between the participating choirs in aid of their charity work. Those taking part include the Britain's Got Talent Missing People's Choir.

Hope House choir will be performing at The Fox Inn in Wem on December 14. Entrance will be free and there will be free food and donations tins will be placed around the pub.

Organiser, Des Clorley, said: "It is great that we have managed to bring the choir to Wem when it is featuring in the charts."
