Bridgnorth Carnival 2016

Applications have been extended for Bridgnorth’s carnival queen, princes, princesses, as well as the new category of carnival queen mother.

The new category was suggested by residents who would like to nominate their mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, or anyone who they feel is worthy of winning the title.

Ashley Kendrick, PA to the town clerk and mayor’s secretary, said: “They could have overcome something in their life, achieved something, or just be nominated for being wonderful and to get some recognition from others.”

There are two categories for prince and princess, infant, aged four to seven, and junior, aged eight to 11.

The closing date for entries is May 22.
