The centre is preparing to welcome hundreds of people as entrants flock to show off their weird and wonderful talents. The first round of auditions takes place on Sunday, October 23, in New Row, by House of Fraser, between 11am and 4pm.

Centre manager Glynn Morrow said: "This is such an exciting time for residents of Telford and the surrounding areas, as this is the first time we have welcomed Britain's Got Talent auditions to the centre.

"People of all ages are urged to come down and audition. Who knows, the winner of Britain's Got Talent 2017 could be one of our very own Telford shoppers!

"If successful, acts will then be in with a chance of securing a place at one of the judges' auditions in 2017, so this really is a great opportunity for people to showcase their hidden talents."

The show is open to any performer of any age, with any talent - all that is needed is a skill and star quality to impress.

BGT executive producer Amelia Brown said "We've had some amazing winners over the last ten series, from this year's champion Richard Jones, who was the first magician to ever win the show, right through to singer Paul Potts, dance troupe Diversity and shadow act Attraction.

"We can't wait to see what talent Telford has to offer. Anyone can apply - there is no age limit and we are looking for all kinds of talents, so if you feel you have something special to show us, then make sure you apply, you never know where it might take you."

Aspiring acts can also apply now via www.itv.com/talent and register for other audition days later in the year.
