Oswestry glamping is a big hit

It might be below zero outside, but it is warm and cosy inside this tent.

Glamping has become an all-year-round industry for Katrina Boydon.

That means taking bookings throughout the winter for yurts she has set up in a field near Oswestry.

Bookings are so healthy that she now has plans for a big expansion at Tanycoed Farm in Llansilin, which she runs with her husband Steve.

The yurts are proving popular as a short-break destination for people from Shropshire hopping across the border.

And the couple are also attracting bookings from people looking to escape the busy West Midlands and Greater Manchester.

Each yurt comes with a bed, furniture, electricity and a fire that provides essential heating for this time of year.

Mrs Boydon said: "We've been really busy. We have three luxury yurts, a furnished stable and a dome tent and we've submitted plans for another 10."
