Ice cream vendor sought for Ellesmere's Mere

Shropshire Council is looking for a vendor to sell ice cream at one of its Green Flag parks.

The country parks and heritage sites team is offering an annual license to trade at the Mere in Ellesmere.

A council spokesman said: "The Mere is a very popular country park attracting 250,000 people per year. The location for the concession is adjacent the large playground within formal grounds known as Cremorne Gardens and is very popular with locals and visitors to the area."

The license will run from March 1 this year to February 29, 2019.

Bids should be sent to the council by February 12, no later than 1pm and should include the trading name and address, outline of the company's background, experience and number of years trading, the health and safety policy, insurances and the amount you intend to bid for the concession.
