The new one-day Shropshire County Show was today hailed a massive success after 15,000 people flocked though its gates – 5,000 more than for last year’s two-day event.

Up to 15,000 people were expected to flock to the Shropshire County Show today as the spring heatwave boosted ticket sales. Last year’s show saw 10,000 visitors pass through the gates over two days.
As May 26 draws ever closer, final licks of paint have been applied and finishing touches are being made to the preparations for the Shropshire County Show to accommodate the record levels of livestock which will grace the show rings at the Berwick Road site at Shrewsbury.
