Shropshire’s biggest band have been added to the line-up for the Shrewsbury Fields Forever Festival, it was announced today.

The line-up reads like a Who’s Who of the best unsigned talent in Shropshire. Dozens of local groups are vying for the chance to become Shropshire’s Next Big Thing in a Shropshire Star competition, run in conjunction with BBC Radio Shropshire.

More than 20 bands have already entered a contest to find Shropshire’s best unsigned talent in a bid to win a slot in front of up to 10,000 fans on the Shrewsbury Fields Forever festival.

Chart stars The Wombats will headline a three-day music and comedy festival at Shrewsbury’s West Mid Showground.
