The Stoke winger trained with his new team-mates for the first time today after signing on an initial three-month loan.

Pennant is keen to show how determined he is to do well at Molineux after some Wolves fans took his comments on Twitter to mean he didn’t want to come.

Just after announcing he was to be loaned out, he tweeted: “Stokies ill keep you updated I’m not gonna lie I’m gutted like but I gotta play!!”

But he said today: “I’ve come here to do a job and I’m ready to give it my all.

“I’m excited to have made the move. Wolves are going well and hopefully I can help maintain that and give the team a boost.

“Wolves are a massive club and it’s been a tough game and a great encounter every time I’ve played against them.”

Pennant is keen to get regular action again after just two games this season.

And the 29-year-old former Liverpool and Birmingham wideman believes he couldn’t be in a better place.

“There were other teams involved but the stature of Wolves and their position in the table helped make my mind up,” said Pennant.
