Wolves were today dealt a double blow after Jamie O’Hara and Jody Craddock were ruled out for the rest of the season.
The pair underwent surgery yesterday, O’Hara on his groin and Craddock on his long-term hip and thigh problem. O’Hara has been ruled out for six to eight weeks and Craddock is hoping to be back sooner.
But, given the timescale of their absence and rehabilitation, their campaigns are over.
O’Hara was placed on a four-week rehabilitation programme on March 15 – five days after his last game against Blackburn – but that hasn’t gone to plan.
The former Tottenham man underwent a double hernia operation after coming off in the 4-1 defeat to Manchester United on December 10 and returned in the 2-1 win at QPR on February 4.
But the 25-year-old was still being troubled by discomfort and struggled to train because of the pain, needing painkilling injections to get through games.
Craddock has been restricted to one Premier League appearance this season, when he replaced Roger Johnson for the Sunderland game on December 4.
