O’Hara is hopeful of Wolves comeback
Monday 30th January 2012, 2:20PM GMT.
Wolves midfielder Jamie O’Hara is to make a surprise comeback from injury in tonight’s reserve game against Fulham.
The former Tottenham man revealed on Twitter today that he is set to play for the second string – his first appearance since a double hernia operation in December.
Defender Jody Craddock is also expected to continue his comeback this evening, provided the Premier Reserve League game at AFC Telford (7pm) survives the frost.
Craddock began his return from a hamstring injury with an hour’s action in a behind-closed-doors game against Burnley last week.
Wolves had feared O’Hara would be sidelined for another week at least.
Meanwhile, full-back Stephen Ward today began the countdown to tomorrow’s Molineux clash with Liverpool by backing boss Mick McCarthy.
The Ireland international is adamant that no-one is better equipped than McCarthy to deal with a survival battle.
“The manager is in it with us,” he says.
“We know every morning that when we turn up for work and the gaffer is here he puts a smile on our faces and gets us ready for the next game as best he can – like he always has done,” he added.
