Wolves have received an injury blow with news that Adlene Guedioura will be out for a minimum of six weeks.
The Algeria World Cup star is to undergo an operation on his troublesome right ankle after failing to shake off the problem he’s had since before returning to pre-season training.
It’s the second big blow to hit Guedioura after he only returned from a broken leg in March, and will sideline him for at least the first four Premier League games of the season, with the QPR home game on September 17 the earliest he could be expected to return to action.
“I’m hoping Adlene will only be six weeks once he’s had his operation,” said boss Mick McCarthy.
