Wolves are interested in Swansea keeper Dorus De Vries – but they could still end up signing another shot-stopper.

De Vries’ agent Arnold Oosterveer admitted the enquiry from Molineux for the 30-year-old, who is available on a Bosman free transfer as he is out of contract.

“There are a lot of teams interested in Dorus and Wolves are one of them,” said Oosterveer.

“Dorus is on holiday at the moment and he is back next weekend.

“We have had Swansea’s final offer so Dorus will make a final decision when he gets back.”

With the Dutch shotstopper not back from holiday until next week and the keeper expected to be unveiled with Jamie O’Hara in the next few days, it remains to be seen whether De Vries is the new keeper to be signed.

Preston’s Andy Lonergan and Reading’s Adam Federici are also among the custodians Wolves have been looking at in the wake of Marcus Hahnemann’s exit after his contract expired.

Like the man he could be challenging at Wolves – Wayne Hennessey – De Vries’ chief strength is his distribution, which is seen as a key part of Swansea’s possession game.
