Shrewsbury Town handed Leeds trip in cup draw

Shrewsbury Town have been handed an eye-catching start to the new season with a trip to Championship big guns Leeds in the Capital One Cup.

Graham Turner’s side will be looking to repeat their exploits in the competition of 12 months ago – then known as the Carling Cup – when they swept past Derby and Swansea en route to a third round exit at Arsenal.

The first round ties are due to be be played in the week commencing August 13.
