Aldershot Town 1 Shrewsbury Town 0

Saturday 10th December 2011, 4:48PM GMT.

Shrewsbury Town suffered their first loss since mid October as a Luke Gutteridge goal gave Aldershot all three points at the EBB Stadium.

In a game of few clear cut chances Gutteridge’s second half strike was enough to earn the home side all three points.

The goal came after Town failed to clear a right wing corner and the Shots’ midfielder tapped home from two yards.

Shrewsbury’s best spell came in the last 15 minutes but the closest they came to an equaliser was when home keeper Jamie Young almost punched James Hurst’s cross into his own next, only for Darren Jones to share his blushes.
