Dagenham & Redbridge 0 Shrewsbury Town 2
Saturday 5th November 2011, 4:56PM GMT.
Shrewsbury Town produced a sterling backs-to-the-wall display to notch an important victory at Dagenham.
Town got off to the perfect start when they took a sixth minute lead through Terry Gornell after a mix-up from the hosts.
But Shrewsbury were forced to do it the hard way when loan debutant James Wallace was dismissed on 25 minutes, harshly shown a straight red card for a tackle on Jon Nurse.
Town, however, held firm and restricted Dagenham to next to no chances before sealing the triumph in the final minute of injury time.
Substitute James Collins was brought down by Tony Doe – who received his second yellow card and therefore a red – and then got to his feet to slot home the spot kick.

Wallace…what a wally. Just twenty minutes on loan for us and you’ll miss most of the rest of your loan time with the Shrews.
Did Turner say that he was a professional…hmmm!
Maybe a tad harsh to be sent off on your first challenge, even so, not a great start eh for the so named star from Everton.
Get Leslie back from Hereford, the lad deserves a spell in the side.
Three great points away from home though and the third clean sheet on the run, well done lads for some gritty determination.
