Terry Gornell in danger of missing Accrington clash
Tuesday 25th October 2011, 2:45PM BST.
Shrewsbury striker Terry Gornell is in danger of missing his first reunion with former club Accrington Stanley tonight – as Town chase a seventh successive home triumph.
The 21-year-old summer signing is struggling with a knee problem picked up during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Rotherham.
With boss Graham Turner also having to decide whether to include James Collins in his squad after his weekend arrest, the door could be open for Welsh under-21 ace Tom Bradshaw to partner Marvin Morgan in attack.
“Terry has had six stitches just below his knee and if he plays it could open up again and drag on for a little while,” said the Town boss.

A great shame if Gornell misses this one, he’s been adding a special zip to our midfield and attacking options and is easily capable of the odd goal out of nothing such is his reading of the game.
This match will be one where the cautious will say just keep calm and don’t loose. This will require concentration right throughout the squad and I feel and have witnessed that the current team isn’t doing this every match, this creates weak points all over the field even if individuals have a great game.
My feeling is that we don’t quite have the right blend still in our defense, this is mainly a leadership problem, the example setters aren’t setting that example and heads are dropping because of it. I think it will be a messy match, we’ll be nervous of loosing more than winning, of course I’d love to say that on paper we’re capable of a 3-0, but at the moment it’s a more realistic 2-2 draw…. .please oh please prove me horribly wrong.
Go get em Town!
