Recalled Tom Bradshaw earned Shrewsbury three points against Accrington to record their seventh successive Greenhous Meadow victory.
Bradshaw struck in the 27th minute to finish off a flowing move involving Joe Jacobson and Lionel Ainsworth.
Town had further chances to extend their lead but were rarely tested at the other end by a limited Accrington side.
