Skipper Ian Sharps has warned Shrewsbury Town to be wary of a Rotherham backlash as he prepares to face his out-of-sorts former employers on Saturday.

The Millers were one of the pre-season favourites for promotion from League Two but their hopes have taken a knock with five consecutive defeats.

Sharps enjoyed two happy years from 2008-2010 at Rotherham’s temporary home, the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield, and also played a part in a successful return last season as Town won 3-1.

But he insists the players cannot expect an easy ride this weekend, despite the Yorkshire club’s recent struggles.
