Mark Wright of Shrewsbury Town celebrates after scoring to make it 2-1

Shrewsbury Town suffered a narrow defeat in their top-of-the-table League Two clash at Crawley.

Town were made to pay for being two goals behind at half-time after a Sergio Torres strike and Dean Howell free-kick put the hosts in control.

Shrewsbury rallied in the second half and pulled one back through Mark Wright – who spurned a fine early chance - with 18 minutes to go.

But, despite plenty of territorial pressure, the equaliser proved elusive.
