Boss Graham Turner has backed his Shrewsbury Town side to rise to the challenge of tomorrow’s big top-of-the-table shoot-out at fellow promotion hopefuls Crawley.
Town make the trip to Sussex for the second-versus-fourth clash knowing an eighth victory in 10 League outings would see them leapfrog their hosts in the League Two table.
A stern examination awaits with big-spending Crawley – who are set to include former Town goalkeeper Scott Shearer and midfielder David Hunt – having reeled off four successive wins of their own.
But Turner is urging his side to deliver the type of away day showing which has already brought victories at promotion fancies Gillingham and Port Vale this term.
