Shrews making too many mistakes, says Ian Sharps
Wednesday 12th October 2011, 12:14PM BST.
Skipper Ian Sharps is eager to help Shrewsbury Town shake off the defensive demons that could de-rail their League Two promotion bid.
Sharps returned from an injury lay-off for the 3-2 win over Barnet and got more minutes under his belt by playing in a squad game against Birmingham City side yesterday, which Town lost 2-1.
But he admits he was disappointed by recent defensive errors and insists Town simply must do better.
“We need to learn from these mistakes,” said Sharps. “We’re making too many of them and it has got to stop.”
