Wary Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner today urged his side to avoid a bout of Carling Cup “afters” when they aim to strengthen their League Two position tomorrow.

Torquay are the visitors to the Greenhous Meadow with Shrewsbury aiming to extend an encouraging run of League form – which has yielded five victories from the last six outings –and cement their place in the top three.

And Turner is anxious to avoid any effects of the memorable night at Arsenal lingering for tomorrow’s repeat of last season’s play-off semi-final.

“It was a big occasion on Tuesday but it is over and done with, and we have to make sure there are no afters in terms of concentration – and that our standards of performance is maintained,” said the Town boss.
