Gillingham 0 Shrewsbury Town 1
Saturday 3rd September 2011, 4:58PM BST.
Shrewsbury Town snatched their first away League victory of the season with a dramatic injury time penalty from Nicky Wroe.
The Town midfielder held his nerve twice to slot home a penalty – he was forced to re-take it following an encroachment – in the third and final minute of injury time after Sean McAllister had been tripped by Gillingham goalkeeper Ross Flitney.
Danny Kedwell had earlier seen his 22nd minute penalty saved by Town goalkeeper Ben Smith after Jermaine Grandison had fouled Luke Rooney.

I Know at the risk of stating the bleeding obvious but these are the type of games that we need to win this season….this we did and should have been a comfortable win with all the chances we had, however those 3 big points in the bag could be golddust at the end of the season.
Well done again lads for all the effort and playing all the way to the final whistle to win this game with sheer determination.
One more note Wroe is starting to become the last minute king of the Shrews, long may it continue, and well done all.
