Turner warning his Shrewsbury Town cup heroes

Shrewsbury Town chief Graham Turner has urged his Carling Cup heroes to come “back down to earth” for tomorrow’s League Two trip to Burton Albion.
Town are still revelling in their fantastic 3-2 triumph at Derby County on Tuesday evening – the first time they have ever won an away cup tie against higher division opposition in either of the main two knockout competitions.
But Turner has already put that behind him, preferring to concentrate on securing a first League victory of what he hopes will be a promotion season.
“We’ve just got to make sure that we’re back down to earth after the performance, the result and the accolades from Tuesday, when we did play well,” he said.
“We’re back down to what is our bread and butter now and this is where we earn our living.
“We’ve got to make sure we’re right again and back concentrating.
“Burton have got some very useful players there, particularly up front,” he added.
“They are capable of causing teams problems but I’m not overly concerned about them or anyone else – it’s all about the way we play.”
Exciting
Turner was pleased with his side’s performance in their 1-1 draw at home to Plymouth in the first game of the season last Saturday.
But he was frustrated by Argyle’s last-minute equaliser and wants his side to show they can keep clean sheets as well as scoring goals.
“We have some very exciting attacking players but we have to make sure we’re a functional team as well,” he said.
“It’s not a case of being over-cautious, it’s just a case of wanting everyone to perform and do their jobs when the opposition have the ball as well as when we do.”
Turner is likely to name an unchanged starting XI for the third consecutive game, with no new injury problems to report.
Striker Tom Bradshaw is still sidelined by a knee injury while left-back Joe Jacobson is forced into a watching brief again as he completes a three-game ban carried over from last season.
