Boss Graham Turner believes his Shrewsbury Town squad is almost complete following the addition of experienced right-back Carl Regan.
Town have now made six summer signings, with the arrival last week of midfielder Matt Richards followed by defender Regan leaving Turner pleased with his business.
Regan’s arrival ends a long search to find an out-and-out right-back, with Jermaine Grandison the only other player in the squad with any experience of the position.
“Carl has had a number of clubs and probably came to prominence at MK Dons where he had couple of promotions,” said the Shrewsbury chief of a player who has made more than 280 appearances at the likes of Hull, Chester City, Macclesfield and Bristol Rovers.
“He is 31 years of age and we’ve had a good look at him in games and in training and we’ve liked what we’ve seen.”
