Shrewsbury Town 0 Torquay 0

Shrewsbury Town’s promotion dream is over after a goalless draw in the play-off second leg at the Greenhous Meadow.

Town failed to build up any sustained pressure as they attempted to overturn a two goal first leg deficit and rarely threatened former Shrewsbury goalkeeper Scott Bevan in the Torquay goal.

Brilliant result. The best team went through to the final. Town had no plan B whatsoever and i for one am relieved i spared myself the gastly price of a ticket to see that appalling show. I hope people are going to be entitled to a refund who went to the game let alone the people who pay for skysports.
What makes it worse is seeing the players themselves out two hours after the game drinking, laughing and looking for women more than they were looking for a pass.
Ainsworth, Harrold, Bradshaw did you really do enough in those 180 minutes to deserve to be clubbing till 3am that night.
Well done Turner too, that fantastic morale boosting interview before the first leg undereatimasting Jake Robinson.
The whole club needs an overhaul seeing as throwing money at the club hasn’t got them promotion yet.
