Rotherham 1 Shrewsbury Town 3
Tuesday 29th March 2011, 9:38PM BST.
Super Shrewsbury stormed back into League Two’s automatic promotion places with a vintage showing at rivals Rotherham.
Graham Turner’s side were in control throughout the evening at the Don Valley Stadium with James Collins rifling home the opener on 20 minutes.
Nicky Wroe doubled the lead from the penalty spot just before half-time after a foul on Collins.
And Collins added his second and Shrewsbury’s third three minutes after the interval when Tom Bradshaw chased down a clearance from Rotherham goalkeeper Andy Warrington and the ball dropped perfectly for his strike partner.
Substitute Adam Le Fondre pulled one back for Roterham on 70 minutes but Shrewsbury held firm for a deserved victory.
