Super Shrewsbury produced a blistering first half display to romp to a third successive League Two victory and move back into the automatic promotion places.
All the damage was done in the first half with Town leading 5-1 after just 35 minutes.
Lionel Ainsowrth scored a 13 minute hat-trick, Jon Taylor grabbed his fourth goal in three games while there was an own goal from Lincoln midfielder Julian Kelly.
Lincoln were briefly level at 1-1 thanks to a header frrom Ashley Grimes, but they had no answer to rampant Town.
