The Shrewsbury ace is looking for success at next week's English Alpine Championships at Bormio in Italy.

The 17-year-old will be among 350 of the country's best alpine skiers to contest the championships from February 13-19.

Concord College student Legeais has bounced back from an injury-hit 2015 by rejoining the British Ski Academy for training camps in Tignes and Les Deux Alpes, so will not be going into the competition cold.

And while she has ground to make up on her rivals, Legeais is confident that she can hit her best form in Bormio.

"I haven't done much training in the last few months as I have been injured," she said.

"But back in December I started training again with the BSA, having also been out in Canada a bit before that.

"I was really happy to start skiing again, but at the same time it was a little stressful as I was struggling with my positioning on the gates.

"We have new coaches as well so it has been a massive change. That said, they were saying it was as good as they had seen me despite not skiing much last year.

"I was even beating some of the girls who had been skiing the whole of last season when I was out."

Paris-born Legeais added: "I have a lot of good memories of skiing in children's racing in Bormio and I really like the slope there.

I am obviously hoping for a good result."
