Braintree 2 AFC Telford 1
Saturday 17th December 2011, 4:48PM GMT.
AFC Telford United slipped up again with a disappointing defeat against out-of-form Braintree Town.
Telford took an easrly lead thanks to a fine half-volley from Jay Smith.
But they failed to press home their advantage and Braintree equalised on the stroke of half-time, Ben Wright burying a penalty after Ashley Cain was harshly judged to have fouled Brad Quinton.
The second half was very disappointing for the away side, who offered little after the break and it was left to Wright, with his second goal, to deliver the killer blow on 77 minutes.
