AFC Telford boss Andy Sinton admits search is stalling
Wednesday 23rd November 2011, 11:00AM GMT.
Boss Andy Sinton is close to agreeing extended deals for two of his latest AFC Telford reinforcements – but admits the search for further additions has stalled.
Sinton is talking to forward Steve Jones to make his non-contract terms permanent, while Tamworth loanee Jay Smith could also stay for the rest of the season.
The Bucks boss is looking to bring in one or two more new faces before the loan window closes tomorrow, but is efforts have so far drawn a blank.
“I’m still looking and I’ve got irons in the fire, but there is nothing imminent,” said Sinton.
“I know where we need to go but it is harder than people think because a few things have to stack up – and one of those is money.”
- Former defender Jim Bentley, 1980s striker Dave Mather and the entire FA Trophy winning team of 1970-71 will be inducted into the hall of fame at a special event at the Whitehous Hotel tonight.
