Sinton ready to ring AFC Telford changes
Monday 14th November 2011, 10:59AM GMT.
Telford manager Andy Sinton knows now is the time for change following Saturday’s dismal 4-0 FA Cup reverse at Chelmsford City, and insists he is the man to lead the club forward.
The Bucks have won just once since September and their first round exit to a side a division below made it six defeats in eight games.
And Sinton is ready to cull a number of first team players in search of league points.
“It’s evident now to me that I need to go and change things,” he said. “I’m close to bringing two or three in and the result has cemented that view for me.
“I’ve without a doubt got confidence in my own ability. I’m a little bit low at the minute and a little bit flat as you would expect.
“I think if I came out and said everything will be fine and so on then I would lose a bit of credibility.
“Everything is not fine and when things are not fine and need addressing you’ve got to address them.”
The Bucks boss is ready to act decisively to prevent Telford being ending the season in a relegation dogfight.
“We are where we are this year because of what we did last year,” said Sinton.
“We’ve just got to build on that and unfortunately people haven’t stepped up to the plate that I thought could and that’s my fault for bringing them in.
“And, for people who I’ve given a chance to, maybe it’s been a bridge too far.
“I’ve now got to act before we get halfway through the season,” he added.
“I know what those players are capable of doing but unfortunately in the last month or so in any given day six or seven have performed well, well below what they are capable of doing.
“I’d be a fool to let that carry on, and I’m not a fool.”

What’s the point of Sinton bringing in new players? We have plenty of talented players in our squad who can’t get a game and when he brings players in he praises their ability after 2 games and then they’re sent out on loan.
