Boss Andy Sinton leads AFC Telford United into an eagerly-anticipated derby clash at Kidderminster Harriers tonight demanding: “Give me more,” writes CHRIS HUDSON.

The Bucks will play at Aggborough for the first time since the new club was formed in 2004 and are aiming to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat at Barrow on Saturday.

That reverse ended a five-match unbeaten run in the Blue Square Bet Premier and Sinton is eager to see a return to winning ways.

“Our lads did well on Saturday but I want a bit more from two or three of them,” he said.

“When we get that, we will become a side that probably gets a bit more of a rub of the green, because I’m a great believer that you make your own luck.

“In the 14 games we’ve had so far, there’s only been one of them decided by more than the odd goal – and that was Luton, where we gifted them two goals.

“That tells me how close we are, and we just have to nullify the little things we are getting punished for and be a little better in the final third. Once we get that, we’ll start being a real force.

“I’m not going to say we’ll win the league or be in the top five, but we’ll be more in control of games and not chancing it on a poor decision or a late, last gasp goal.”

Sinton is anticipating an entertaining game tonight against a Harriers side that includes former Telford favourite Lee Vaughan.

“It’s a difficult sort of place to go and they are a good team,” said Sinton.

“It will be a different sort of game to Barrow on Saturday – the pitch will be a bit slicker and it will be more of a passing game.”

Striker Andy Brown is still sidelined by a hamstring injury so Craig Farrell is likely to retain his place alongside Chris Sharp in attack.
