AFC Telford 1 Alfreton 0

Greg Young of Alfreton Town and Adam Proudlock of AFC Telford United

Chris Sharp’s third goal in four games sealed a hard-fought win for AFC Telford United – and lifted them two places in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

Chances were at a premium in a first half full of endeavour but low in quality.

Alfreton struggled to make any impression and the Bucks finally pinched the points when Sharp struck on 68 minutes, latching onto an overhead kick from Andy Brown and sliding a shot past keeper Dan Lowson.
