Andy Sinton has perfect bait to catch Codmen
Friday 23rd September 2011, 12:32PM BST.
Manager Andy Sinton leads AFC Telford to big-spending bogey team Fleetwood Town tomorrow, insisting: “We’re in great shape.”
The Codmen are one of the promotion favourites in the Blue Square Premier, with boss Micky Mellon having invested heavily thanks to the huge backing of millionaire businessman Andy Pilley.
Telford have failed to beat the Lancashire side in six previous league meetings, losing all three at Highbury.
But that record does not faze Sinton, who said: “You only have to look at their squad to see that they have spent big and they are having a real go for promotion.
“It will be a tough game for us but our performance the other night (in a 1-1 draw at Mansfield) will have done us the power of good.”
