Adam Proudlock set for AFC Telford return

Former Wolves striker Adam Proudlock is pushing for a return to the AFC Telford United squad – after proving his fitness in a goal-laden friendly at Rocester.
Proudlock, 30, has been out since pre-season with a groin injury but played a full 90 minutes in last night’s amazing 17-2 win against the Midland Alliance side.
And his steady progress ahead of Saturday’s Blue Square Bet Premier clash at home to Bath City was the biggest boost for boss Andy Sinton, who took the chance to look at several trialists.
“It was a very useful exercise and it was good for Adam Proudlock to get a full 90 minutes and score a few goals,” said Sinton.
“He did well and looked sharp, albeit that you have to take into account the standard of the opposition.
“He could come into contention for Saturday now.”
Sinton had also been considering a recall for recent signing Spencer Weir-Daley – who has scored four goals in three games on loan at Evo-Stik League premier division side Buxton.
But the former Boston hitman has picked up a knee injury and missed the Derbyshire side’s 4-0 defeat at home to Marine last night.
“I was looking to get him one more game but that’s all changed,” said the Telford chief. “He’s coming in to see the physio tonight instead.”
Meanwhile, the Bucks boss admits he could look to add to his squad with astute loan signings – and may be prepared to let players go in order to make more room.
“The loan market is open so I’ll bring people in if I think they will improve us,” he said.
