Andy Sinton goal to net first points in York
Friday 19th August 2011, 11:27AM BST.
Boss Andy Sinton believes AFC Telford United can stun highly-rated York City tomorrow – if their luck changes in front of goal.
The Bucks went down 1-0 at Cambridge United in their opening Blue Square Bet Premier fixture, with poor finishing letting down what was an otherwise impressive performance.
And Sinton insists they can pose a threat at Bootham Crescent if they can reach the same heights – despite admitting the Minstermen represent a step up in class.
“They are a good side with good players,” said Sinton. “I’ve had a detailed report on them and we are under no illusions about the size of our task.
“Cambridge was a good test for us first up but there might be tougher tests to come and I’d put York in that category.”
