AFC Telford signings ‘secure future’
Saturday 30th July 2011, 11:10AM BST.
Boss Andy Sinton believes AFC Telford United’s belief in bringing through young players means that they have years of improvement ahead.
Sinton delivered promotion to the Blue Square Bet Premier in his first year in charge and has been busily recruiting for life in the top tier of non-League football.
The majority of his signings fall into the category of promising youngsters – and he is convinced they will prove to be wise investments.
“With what we’ve got to spend, we’ve done our shopping wisely,” stressed Sinton.
“We’ve brought a more youthful look to the squad and I’m almost trying to build the next team further down the line.
“I’m bringing in the likes of Nathan Rooney, who’s 19; Craig King, who’s 20; and Dwayne Samuels, who’s 21.”
